Indoor Skydiving Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How old do you have to be to fly?
Children three years old and up can fly in our tunnel. Our staff at SkyVenture are trained to provide a safe and fun environment for your friends and loved ones! We DO REQUIRE a waiver to be signed by a parent or legal guardian for anyone under the age of 18.

Q: Are there any health restrictions?
Virtually anyone that is in reasonable health and physical fitness CAN FLY! Children three and up and many customers over 90 have flown in a SkyVenture wind tunnel. We are NOT able to fly anyone who has physical impairments or would have ANY difficulty participating in a physical sport like running or skydiving.  If you are not sure if this applies to you, please call first & speak to one of our reservationists.  Please check the list below for a variety of common circumstances that would prevent us from flying with you.

You can fly as long as you:

• do not weigh more than 250 Pounds
• are at least 3 years of age and fit in our gear.
• are not pregnant
• have not suffered from a prior shoulder dislocation or injury.
• are not under the influence of alcohol or non- prescribed drugs.
• are not wearing a hard cast
• you must first sign a waiver to participate at SkyVenture New Hampshire.

Q: Do I need reservations?
Reservations are highly recommended as we do book up in advance. You can make a reservation by calling 603-897-0002

Q: Cancellation Policy for reservations:
You will be charged for the FULL amount of your reservation if you do not cancel outside of 72 hours for reservations.

Q: Is it scary?
No… SkyVenture Is NOT scary. There is no feeling of falling and you do not jump into the air. You will feel like you are floating. The instructor will be there with you at all times.

Q: Is it safe?
Yes, and a flight instructor is ALWAYS present.

Q: Do I have to jump?
No, you DO NOT jump. The instructor will direct you to the flight chamber door where you will lean into the air flow and be lifted up with the instructors help.

Q: Is it like real skydiving?
The experience is amazingly realistic. It is so realistic that most skydiving teams from around the world train in SkyVenture wind tunnels. Feel free to come by anytime and watch them train in the wind tunnel from the observation area.

Q: Can I do tricks and flips in the tunnel?
Tricks and flips are done by experienced flyers. We do offer training programs and personalized coaching for return flyers that will develop your skills so that you can do many exciting stunts in the tunnel.

Q: Can I get a video of my flight?
You can purchase a video on DVD of your flight experience. One video will capture your entire flight session, giving you a memory to last a lifetime.

Q: Can I fly with my friends or family members?
You will be part of the same group (flight classes are up to 12 people). Non – experienced flyers are not able to fly with each other. However you will be able to watch each other fly and share in the experience with them. Once you have gained the necessary skills you will be able to fly with other people.

Q: Do you sell Gift Certificates?
Yes, we do! Gift certificates make a great gift of adventure! Gift Certificates are Transferable to another individual but they are NOT refundable.  There are NO REFUNDS on Gift Certificates.

Q: What should I wear?
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict your movement. A shirt without a collar will be the most comfortable for you.  Please wear lace up sneakers.  NO jewelry can be worn or loose objects remain with you during participation on any of our attractions.

Q: What Should I expect once I arrive?
Check in, waiver, attend a class and gear up prior to your flight or surf session.
